WALMART BLACK FRIDAY BLACK EYE
Decided to give Black Friday shopping a try and was told Walmart was the best place to go because they had some of the best deals. I am not a fan of this type of manic shopping, but looked on line at their advertisement and saw a few things that looked intriguing so decided to give it a chance. Read all the fine print or at least I thought I did? Was told the sales lines get really long and it's usually first come first serve which I understood. We arrived at the store, 939 N. Dupont Blvd, Milford DE, at about 1815 hrs and by the time we got to the area of the store which the item we were hoping to purchase it was 1830 hrs. We saw that there were about 6 people in the line already and felt confident that we had arrived with ample opportunity to obtain the item. However, after being in line for around 30-45 minutes another customer advised those of us in line that in order to obtain the item we were looking for you had to have been there around 4:30 or 5 o'clock to receive a bracelet which would assure that you would be able to get the item for purchase. Well this sent and absolute uproar through those individuals who had been in line both before and after myself. We were told by the portly manager that all the items had been given out hours earlier, but we could hang around the store for another 3 1/2 hours till 10 p.m. to see if by chance one of those persons who had received a wristband didn't return to get the item in question and we might have a chance to get one? What an absolutely incredibly genius marketing scam Walmart has for Black Friday Sales it is certainly a wonder that there are not more Black Eyes as well. I will not and will encourage everyone I encounter to stay away from Walmart on Black Friday and if this is the way they do business every other day of the year.
